Reporting directly to the Head of Insurance, the incumbent will be working on larger value project managed remedial work, both domestic and commercial property, insurance claim projects across the South East of the country and a separate vacancy for the North (ideally based in the North West.

The successful candidates will also support the continued growth of the Insurance department.

Delivering insurance claim, diagnostic evaluation, validation of proposed works and project managing reinstatement works aided by their, surveying knowledge and contractual expertise will be core elements of the role. There is the need to have the ability to be able to communicate effectively at all levels including via key reporting processes. Managing contractors to the required performance and delivering quality outcomes with the loss adjuster/insurer and policyholder engagement is critical. A market presence is also desirable.

IT knowledge and embracing new methodologies is an essential requirement.

It is anticipated that 50% of this role will home/office based, with the remaining on site and meetings.

Forensic Planner

The ideal candidate would be from a contractor background with approximately 10 years’ experience of producing Construction / Contract Programmes and able to demonstrate a good understanding of how the planning function assists projects in real life.

Previous delay analysis experience, preferably in the capacity of Expert. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work with a variety of clients and able to work as part of a team whilst maintaining the required professionalism of consultancy services. Duties would include (but not limited to) :-

  • Production of Construction Programmes.
  • Programme management and record keeping to ensure early identification of delays and entitlement for EOT.
  • Have a sound understanding of delay analysis techniques and their appropriate use.
  • Produce delay analysis reports to assist in adjudication.
  • Use delay analysis to assess complex construction time disputes.
  • Assess and make delay and disruption claims.
  • Be able to utilise relevant planning software as well as Word and Excel.
