Peter is an experienced dispute resolution specialist with an in depth knowledge of all forms of dispute resolution. He has received in excess of 600 appointments as adjudicator, mediator, arbitrator and expert determiner and has acted as party representative in these tribunals on numerous occasions. Peter is listed on all the major professional panels including The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The Royal Institute of British Architects, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, The Technology and Construction Solicitors Association, The Centre for Dispute Resolution, The London Court of International Arbitration and The International Chamber of Commerce.

Peter has particular expertise in quantity surveying and the commercial management of contracting organisations, he is skilled in claims preparation, the drafting of expert reports and the writing of contractual and commercial procedures. He is also an accomplished seminar presenter and trusted advisor on the corporate restructuring of businesses involved or allied to the construction industry.

Lee is a Chartered Builder and Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 24 years’ experience in the Building and Civil Engineering sectors. A specialist in final accounts and valuation issues ranging from disruption loss and / or expense to claims for extensions of time. Lee has acted for Main Contractors and Sub-Contractors as Referring and Responding party in Adjudications, and has assisted in numerous Expert Witness commissions both UK and International. Lee has also been instructed by solicitors to act as Quantum Expert. Lee has spent considerable time working abroad on site in Expert Advisory Roles on major power generation schemes in South Africa and an LNG Gas Terminal Project in Europe. Lee has also worked on major transportation projects in the Republic of Ireland and Belgium.

Ian has 28 years’ experience in the IF / ABL market and joined the Business in February 2018 with the objective to work alongside the Directors to add strategic input into Gateley Vinden's future development, with particular focus on the Financial Services sector.  Ian joined Bibby Financial Services (BFS) in 2014 and was a member of the UK Board, prior to that he had been with Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance since 1992, being appointed to the Board as an Executive Director in 1997.  He has held a variety of Senior Leadership roles, leading National Sales and Client Management teams across the IF / ABL market, as well as having responsibility for both BFS's and Lloyds HP and Leasing businesses.

Guy qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1991 and became a Fellow in 2010, with particular expertise in structural and defect diagnosis and fire safety issues. Guy has developed a wide-ranging depth of knowledge and experience providing client advice and recommendations. He also has considerable experience and detailed knowledge of the diagnosis and repair of building defects and damage, specialised accommodation reports which refer to catastrophic injury cases, together with the investigation, negotiation and resolution of technical and construction related claims and in the preparation of Expert Witness reports for litigation or dispute resolution procedures and protocols. Guy previously ran his own Building Surveying and Project Management private practice for 12 years. He has a significant breadth and depth of Building Surveying experience in professional service due diligence surveys, neighbourly matters, dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessments. Guy is experienced in dealing with wide ranging project-based roles for commercial, public sector and social housing clients including design, specification and contract administration with CDM 2015 health and safety consultancy. Guy has also been instructed to provide Expert opinion on a significant number of CWI cases regarding properties throughout the UK.

Karen also has extensive experience of working with Gateley Vinden's Corporate Recovery team, reviewing and advising companies on how best to negotiate their way out of the many difficult circumstances that are becoming increasingly more prevalent. The Corporate Recovery Team is highly specialised in working alongside Insolvency Practitioners on construction industry related cases, providing professional advice and assistance in order to maximise realisations for the benefit of all concerned.  In addition, Karen has over 15 years' experience of working with Asset Based Lenders ("ABL") carrying out Pre-lend reviews and regular audits at contractors and subcontractors premises to monitor and report on compliance with ABL funding protocols.

As part of her role, Tracy provides ad hoc commercial and contractual advice to a varied portfolio of clients. She has an understanding of contracting at all levels, predominantly from a commercial and contractual perspective, but also from an organisational and operational viewpoint. Her ability to appraise a set of circumstances, cut through to the key issues and communicate at all levels has led to repeat commissions on a variety of matters. Tracy is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, has a degree in Law and has achieved the RICS Diploma and Certificate in Adjudication.

Phil has over 38 years' experience in the construction industry. He is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor and also has a Master’s degree in Construction Law. He has also headed-up his own consultancy organisation and represented a wide variety of clients, preparing contractual claims in application requests or defences to quantum claims for time and / or money. Phil regularly represents clients in Adjudication, Arbitration and Mediation proceedings and has been appointed Expert Witness and joint expert for quantum matters on numerous occasions in litigation proceedings. Phil was awarded the President’s Prize from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for the best Arbitration Award writing in 2014.
