Both teams have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of raising, refinancing and restructuring facilities and are ideally placed to guide borrowers through different stages of the debt raising process.

What do we do?

Raising and refinancing debt

Within Gateley Vinden, our experienced consultants regularly work with businesses across a diverse range of sectors to raise funds of between £2m to £50m. Above all else, we understand the significance of the work we undertake and how important it is to the future of a client’s business. This is why our work is director-led with complete transparency and accountability at all stages.

Working with our client, we invest time to understand their business and priorities, determine critical funding issues, and assess total debt capacity. With this in-depth understanding, we engage with potential funders through a competitive and tightly-managed debt raising process to find optimal and flexible debt structures which are most suited to their needs. As we are engaged by the borrower, we remain truly independent throughout the debt raising process.

Within Gateley Legal the banking and finance team has many years’ experience of advising borrowers across different sectors on the terms of facility and security documentation for development, trade, invoice, investment and acquisition finance. Straight-talking in our delivery, we ensure that a borrower fully understands the documentation and facilitate the smooth running of the transaction due to our understanding of different funders requirements.

Restructuring debt

Within Gateley Legal, our restructuring advisory lawyers regularly advise companies in financial distress including identifying ways to restructure debt.

This can include the use of consensual restructurings or statutory compromise processes to restructure balance sheets to facilitate the raising of finance. We work closely with directors of companies in financial distress to support their decision making processes and achieve positive outcomes for the business.

Working alongside our Gateley Vinden colleagues, in our banking and finance and restructuring teams we have extensive experience working with lenders across the spectrum and advise in relation to complex and innovative deal and security structures to deliver an optimal lending solution for our clients.

Who we help?

Our clients include businesses across a diverse range of sectors looking to structure asset-based lending with UK funders, including businesses within construction, automotive, aerospace and manufacturing.
